Listview itemupdating newvalues empty

To cancel the update operation, set the collections before the values are passed to the data source.

A typical way to use these collections is to HTML-encode the values supplied by the user before they are stored in the data source. For more information about how to handle events, see NIB: Consuming Events.

We will follow the previous post example for the data editing.

The first thing you have to do to add the data editing capabilities is defining the Edit item and Insert item templates.

EDIT: I found a piece of code in the comments of this blog: I'm not sure for I haven't tried but the statement says you need to use the Data Source ID property in binding with the Grid View.

I might try that and see if you can assign an ID to a datasource and bind it in code behind.

Private Sub Form View1_Item Updating(sender As Object, e As Form View Update Event Args) Handles Form View1. It's been about two days now that I am on this :( What am I doing wrong?

Without setting focus the user needs to scroll down thediv after postback to get to the item. ...................................................................................................................................................... ...................................................................................................................................................... I am binding to a custom datasource in the code behind.Find Control("Kurum Logo Path FUU"), File Upload) Dim My Path As String = Server. Map Path("~/images/kurum/") Dim f Name As String = fu. I have checked permissions for the folder and Application, they are OK. Cancel = True End Try End Sub as a result deletes nothing.I´m using a Details View but when updating, I cannot get the Old Values because the Details View Update Event Args. Note: I´m not using a datasource component in my application (Sql Data Source, Object Data Source, Entity Data Source, etc.). Instead of row kind of style editing like the How would you get programmatic access to items in the Edit Item Template?I need to set focus a control in there and I can't seem to find a handle to controls in that template.
